Henriques' Room

Did i say that EVERYTHING on Ilha Armona is small? The dogs, the roads, the boats, the houses the rooms.. Henry's room.. yeah pretty tiny. But Henry's smile after i painted him this picture was massive! The last few days of 2009 were spent in perfect company despite the rain outside.

A bonassa depois o tempestade. Painting in Portugal

There is tiny island off the coast of the Algarve, Portugal called Armona. Everything there is small and a bit magical. Except the storms which were big and loud. as the Atlantic Christmas winds wrapped themselves around our shack-like accomodation and blew the rain in through the shutters, I wrapped myself up in blankets and learned to paint smaller. Here are the aquatic based artworks that i left behind when we caught the last ferry back to the mainland....
